Entrepreneurship is living a few years of your life like most people won’t so that you can spend the rest of your life like most people can’t.”

The author of this quote is unknown, but it certainly resonates with a lot of entrepreneurs. Deciding to leap into the great unknown can leave many around you thinking that you are truly nuts. However, one of the biggest assets that you have as an entrepreneur is the ability to believe in yourself when everyone else thinks you’re nuts.

You know what your vision is. You know what your goals are. You know what it takes to get the job done. And if you’re missing a piece you’ll find it. Don’t become discouraged when everyone else looks at you like you’re crazy. When they start suggesting that you just go get a real job that offers more stability. Something that is more dependable. In fact, don’t even listen because you know that working for someone else can, in fact, provide a false sense of security.

So, as we head into the weekend remember these tips.

  • No one can deter you from your vision and your goal if you don’t let them. You built your ship. You set your final destination. You charted your course. All you must do is believe, and trust in yourself.
  • Find a network or tribe that works for you. A support group that gets it, that gets you and what you are trying to do.
  • Believe that anything is possible if you set your mind to it, and surround yourself with the people that can help you make it happen.
  • Believe in yourself.
  • Believe in your idea and what you have to offer.

If you do these things you will see that greatness that can come from trusting yourself. And remember that you may have a little uncertainty and sometimes have to work harder than others. But you’re doing it so you can spend the rest of your life like most people can’t. So, ask yourself what would I do if I weren’t afraid and then go do it. Believe in yourself and you can make anything happen.
